Happy Pi Day!

Today is a once-in-a-while occasion regarding the current date's numbers. The month is March, which is the third month of the year. So that's 3. The day is the fourteenth, so that's 3.14. Catching on? Well, the year is 2015, and we usually abbreviate it with the last two digits, so that makes today 3-14.15, or, 3.1415.

But wait, there's more! If you use the AM/PM clock format there will be two times in the day that add an additional three digits to Pi. At 9:26, both AM and PM, you can tack those three numbers onto the end of the date, and you get: 3.1415926. You could also use seconds, nanoseconds, etc. if you wish, but I am going to limit it to what I already stated for time's sake.

Have a happy Pi day! Oh, and have a celebratory piece of pie if it's convenient for you. ;)
